After taking a phone from a coffee shop in Brooklyn, 45-year-old Steven Battle was shot and killed.
The culprit who shot and murdered a guy while he was attempting to get his phone out of a Brooklyn store is being sought by police.
Around 2:40 a.m. on Saturday, a fatal gunshot occurred on Rockaway Avenue.
According to authorities, 45-year-old Steven Battle was shot and killed outside a coffee shop while he was attempting to retrieve his phone. He then fell in the middle of the road. Officials claim that because the establishment doubles as a nightclub, it was open when the incident occurred.
The victim was taken by first responders to a local hospital, where he was declared deceased.
The suspect escaped the scene in a black Cadillac SUV, according to the NYPD.
The suspect is characterized as a man with facial hair, braids, a slim build, and a dark complexion. He was last seen sporting light grey jeans, black and white sneakers, and a dark blue hooded sweatshirt.
