A house fire in Plant City injures one person and  hospitalized

Early on Wednesday morning, a house caught fire, and the Plant City Fire Rescue reported that one person was sent to the hospital.

A house was completely destroyed by flames when PCFR arrived on the scene of a fire on Gordon Street at around three in the morning.

In order to limit the fire, crews launched an intense fire attack.

After receiving on-scene care, one victim was sent to a nearby hospital. As of as now, their condition is unknown.

“The house was heavily damaged when Plant City firefighters arrived in a matter of minutes,” stated Jeremy Sidlauskas, Fire Chief of Plant City Fire Rescue. “They promptly set to work fighting the fire and tending to one patient, who was subsequently taken by Hillsborough County Fire Rescue.” We value the dedication of our staff and the support of our partners in public safety.

Crews are looking into what started the fire.

Residents should frequently practice their fire escape plans and make sure their smoke alarms are operational, according to PCFR.
