Man Fatally Shot and Multiple Vehicles Struck by Gunfire in Richmond’s East End, Police Investigate Incident Near Fairfield Court

 

Richmond, Virginia – April 12, 2025 – A shooting early this morning in Richmond’s East End has left one man dead and several vehicles damaged by gunfire. The Richmond Police Department is currently investigating the incident, which took place near Fairfield Court, a public housing complex in the area.

According to authorities, the shooting occurred around 7:30 a.m. in the 2200 block of Fairfield Avenue. Officers responded to reports of gunfire and found an adult male who had been shot and was unresponsive on the sidewalk. Despite the efforts of emergency responders, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

In addition to the victim, multiple vehicles in the vicinity were struck by gunfire. Fortunately, no other injuries were reported at the scene.
