Salina South High School Lockdown Lifted After Active Shooter Scare; One Individual Apprehended, No Injuries Reported

 

 

SALINA, Kansas — A tense morning unfolded at Salina South High School on Monday, April 28, 2025, after authorities received reports of a possible active shooter on campus, prompting a swift and massive law enforcement response.

At approximately 9:00 a.m., Salina Police were dispatched to the school, located at 730 E. Magnolia Road, following calls alerting them to a potential threat.
