PITTSBURGH, PA — Authorities in Pittsburgh are investigating a violent stabbing incident that left a woman severely injured early Sunday morning, underscoring growing concerns about public safety and violent crime in urban areas.

According to police, the attack occurred during the early hours of Sunday, April 27, 2025. Emergency crews were dispatched to the scene after receiving a 911 call reporting a stabbing in progress. Upon arrival, first responders found a woman suffering from multiple stab wounds.

The victim, whose identity has not been publicly released pending family notification, was quickly stabilized at the scene before being transported to a local hospital. Officials confirmed that she sustained serious injuries but have not provided additional details about her current condition.
