21-Year-Old Kaizen Simmons Killed in Early Morning Killeen Shooting

 

KILLEEN, TX – April 29, 2025 — A homicide investigation is underway in Killeen following the tragic shooting death of a 21-year-old man in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

Killeen Police responded to a call around 1:26 a.m. regarding a reported shooting in the 5000 block of Morning Star Lane. Upon arrival, officers found a male victim, later identified as Kaizen Simmons, suffering from a gunshot wound. Emergency personnel administered life-saving measures at the scene before Simmons was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after.

Authorities have not yet released information about any potential suspects or motives behind the shooting. Investigators are currently collecting evidence from the scene, speaking with potential witnesses, and reviewing nearby surveillance footage in hopes of piecing together the events that led to Simmons’ death.
