Bushnell, Florida — The South Sumter High School community is reeling from the sudden and heartbreaking loss of Coach Garhett Miller, who tragically passed away in a car accident on Tuesday, April 30, 2025.

Coach Miller, a proud alumnus of South Sumter and a dedicated quarterbacks coach for the school’s football team, was not only a mentor and leader on the field, but also a role model and friend to countless students, athletes, and staff members. News of his passing has cast a somber shadow over the campus and the greater Bushnell area, where he was known and respected for his integrity, drive, and unwavering commitment to his community.
