Deadly Family Feud in Corpus Christi: Adam Salazar Charged with Murder After Fatally Shooting Brother Abraham Salazar During Domestic Dispute on Cain Drive

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX — A family dispute turned deadly on Monday night, leaving one man dead and his brother behind bars, following a tragic shooting in a quiet residential neighborhood.

The Corpus Christi Police Department (CCPD) confirmed the arrest of 41-year-old Adam Salazar in connection with the fatal shooting of his brother, 45-year-old Abraham Salazar, in what authorities are describing as a domestic-related altercation that spiraled into violence.

The incident occurred around 9:45 p.m. in the 4900 block of Cain Drive, prompting a swift response from police after multiple 911 calls reporting gunfire. When officers arrived, they discovered Abraham Salazar lying in the driveway, suffering from several gunshot wounds. Officers and emergency responders immediately rendered life-saving aid.

Abraham was transported to Spohn Shoreline Hospital, with CPR in progress during the ride. Tragically, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.

A woman who was present at the scene was detained for questioning, although her involvement remains unclear. Detectives quickly gathered preliminary evidence and determined that Adam Salazar was the primary suspect. He was taken into custody without incident and later charged with murder. He is now being held at the Nueces County Jail, with his bond set at $1 million.
