Lauderdale County, AL – May 8, 2025 — A devastating collision in the early hours of Thursday morning has claimed the life of 36-year-old Chad A. Lister, a resident of Franklinton, North Carolina. The fatal crash occurred around 3 a.m. on Highway 20 near County Road 16 in Lauderdale County, Alabama, prompting authorities to close the roadway for several hours as emergency personnel responded to the scene.

According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), Lister was behind the wheel of a 2015 Ford F-150 when his vehicle collided head-on with a 2016 Mack concrete pumper truck. The truck was reportedly driven by a man from Tennessee. The impact of the crash was severe, and tragically, Chad Lister was pronounced dead at the scene by first responders.
