Serious Overnight Crash in Grapevine Leaves Four Juveniles Injured — Dramatic Rescue by Firefighters, Two Suffer Critical Injuries, Investigation Underway Near Ira E Woods Ave and Pool Road
Grapevine, TX — A single-vehicle crash involving four juveniles occurred in the early morning hours near the intersection of Ira E Woods Avenue and Pool Road, resulting in multiple injuries and an ongoing investigation by local authorities.
According to Grapevine Fire Department officials, emergency crews were dispatched shortly after midnight following reports that a vehicle had crashed and that one occupant might be trapped inside. Upon arrival, firefighters confirmed that one juvenile was trapped and began extrication efforts immediately.
“The scene was challenging, but our crews worked quickly to free the trapped occupant while providing care to all individuals involved,” said a spokesperson for the Grapevine Fire Department.
All four juveniles sustained injuries of varying severity. Emergency medical personnel from Grapevine, Southlake, and Colleyville Fire Departments collaborated on-site to provide treatment. Subsequently, all patients were transported to Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Grapevine for further evaluation and care.
Grapevine Police Department has confirmed that two of the juveniles are believed to have sustained serious injuries. Authorities have not yet released details regarding the nature of these injuries or the exact condition of the patients.
The cause of the crash remains under active investigation. Police are examining possible contributing factors, including driver behavior and road conditions, as well as whether any criminal charges may be warranted.
