Tragedy Strikes Kansas City: Woman Killed and Four Others Shot in Early Morning Shooting Near 35th and Prospect

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — June 14, 2025 — A violent early morning shooting has left one woman dead and four others injured, rattling the Kansas City community and sparking a swift police response.

Shortly after 1:30 a.m., officers were dispatched to the parking lot of a gas station near the intersection of 35th Street and Prospect Avenue following reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, officers found four victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Among them, an adult female and an adult male were critically injured, while two adult males sustained non-life-threatening wounds.
