URGENT ALERT: Missing Teen Ava Hornsby Last Seen Entering White Camaro in Jackson, Tennessee

JACKSON, TN — A concerned family has issued a desperate plea to the Jackson community after 15-year-old Ava Hornsby was reported missing late last night. Authorities say she was last seen getting into a white Camaro, captured on a neighbor’s security camera, prompting fears of abduction.

 Last Known Sighting

According to details released by the Jackson Police Department, footage from a home security system shows Ava leaving her residence near Oakwood Drive shortly before 10 p.m. last night. The grainy video shows her approaching a white Camaro parked across the street and getting inside. The driver, who remains unidentified, allegedly sped away shortly after.

Law Enforcement Response

Officers responded promptly upon receiving the missing person report this morning. Detective Maria Collins, leading the investigation, stated:

“We’re treating this as a potential abduction. Our priority now is recovering Ava safely. We urge anyone with information—no matter how small—to come forward.”

Police are examining surveillance videos from nearby homes and businesses, checking traffic cameras along major exit routes, and canvassing the neighborhood for witnesses.

 Ava’s Description

At the time of her disappearance, Ava was wearing a red hoodie, blue jeans, and white sneakers. She has blonde hair, blue eyes, stands approximately 5′4″, and weighs around 110 lbs. Investigators believe she may still be inside the vehicle, which is believed to be a late-model white Camaro, possibly with black racing stripes.

 Family Plea and Community Mobilization

A grieving relative shared through social media:

My cousin, Ava Hornsby, is missing. Please contact the Jackson PD if you see her or the car. We just want her home safe.

Local volunteers have organized search parties, shared flyers across neighborhoods, and launched the hashtag #FindAvaHornsby on Facebook and Twitter to spread awareness. A candlelight vigil is being planned near the high school tonight to rally community support.
