The man accused of inflicting the fatal injuries is Dominic Pinnick, the boyfriend of the child’s mother.

Police say Pinnick, 22, was alone watching the infant when he grew angry over the baby’s persistent crying. According to investigators, Pinnick admitted that he became enraged and lost control.
