Authorities Seek Help Identifying Teen Who Drowned at Phoenix Apartment Pool
PHOENIX, AZ — Authorities are asking for the public’s help to identify a Hispanic teenage boy who tragically drowned at a Phoenix apartment complex earlier this month. Despite life-saving efforts, the teen died two days after being pulled from the pool.
On July 6, police responded to a call at the Casa Verde Apartments, near 55th Avenue and Indian School Road, where officers found the teen unresponsive in the swimming pool. Emergency crews rushed him to Valleywise Medical Center, but he was pronounced dead on July 8.
Identity Still Unknown; Forensic Image Released
The victim was found without any identification, and his identity remains unknown. Authorities have temporarily named him “John Phoenix Doe 2025.” The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) released a forensic facial reconstruction in hopes that someone might recognize the young man and come forward.
