SAN ANTONIO, TX — July 28, 2025 — A tragic motorcycle accident on Sunday evening in San Antonio ended in the death of a 25-year-old rider after a high-speed collision sparked a fiery blaze that engulfed multiple vehicles. The victim, identified as Chandler Krueger, ran a red light, collided with a truck, and was struck by a second vehicle before becoming trapped beneath the truck and ultimately dying from injuries sustained in the subsequent fire.

Crash Details and Response

The crash occurred near the intersection of Southwest Military Drive and Logwood Avenue. According to the San Antonio Police Department, Krueger was traveling westbound when he failed to stop at the red light, colliding violently with the side of a commercial truck legally crossing the intersection.

The impact caused both the motorcycle and the truck to ignite, resulting in a fast-spreading fire. Moments later, a sedan also struck the wreckage, intensifying the crash’s severity.

Emergency crews responded promptly, extinguishing the fire and attending to the scene. Despite rapid intervention, Krueger was pronounced dead at the scene. The drivers of the truck and sedan sustained minor injuries and cooperated with authorities.

Eyewitnesses Describe Harrowing Scene

The collision was captured on video by bystanders, including witness Veronica Vasquez and her family, whose footage quickly circulated on social media. The footage reveals the desperate attempts of Krueger’s motorcycle companions and bystanders trying to pull him from under the burning truck.

“It happened so fast, and the fire spread quickly. We tried everything to save him,” Vasquez said.
