In Loving Memory of Cary Lee Lovell, 33, of Blackshear
Blackshear, GA — The Pierce County community is mourning the tragic loss of Mr. Cary Lee Lovell, age 33, who passed away on Thursday, July 10, 2025, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident in Waycross, Georgia.
Born on June 8, 1992, in Waycross, Cary spent his entire life in Pierce County. He was known for his love of the outdoors, particularly fishing, riding four-wheelers, and motorcycles. Always up for an adventure, Cary loved to travel and explore new places, finding joy in the world around him.
He worked as a delivery driver for CBR and was admired for his dedication and easygoing nature. Cary was also active in his faith, a member of Blackshear First United Methodist Church and more recently attending Remnant Church in Waycross.
Remembering His Life and Family
Cary was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Daniel Frank & Shirley Amelia Wallis Gill, Jr., and paternal grandparents, Willie Monroe Lovell and Mary Lee Boatright Lovell Floyd.
He is survived by his loving son, Gradon Bowen of Waycross, and his devoted fiancée, Paitan Cole of Blackshear. He also leaves behind his mother, Sherry Lee Gill Lovell, and father, Jerry Wayne Lovell, both of Blackshear.
Cary’s siblings include sisters Mary (Robert) Ferrell and Erica Lovell, and brothers Terry Lovell, Gary (Sarah) Lovell, Wayne Lovell—all of Blackshear—and Wendell (Emily) Lovell of Waycross. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and other extended family members who will cherish his memory forever.
Funeral Arrangements
Funeral services will take place on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. at the Pearson-Dial Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Following the service, Cary will be laid to rest at Waters Cemetery.
