Rochester Mourns Beloved Community Member Nicole Fisher, 41, After Courageous Battle with Cancer
A Life Rooted in Family and Faith
Nicole Fisher was known throughout Rochester as someone whose life was centered around love — love for her family, her faith, and her community. She was the kind of woman who lifted others in their darkest moments, celebrated their greatest joys, and lived each day with purpose and compassion.
Her marriage to Brian was a testament to enduring love and partnership. The couple built a home filled with warmth, laughter, and devotion. Together, they raised their children with values grounded in kindness, service, and faith — values Nicole embodied in every part of her life.
“She was the heart of our home,” said Brian in a statement shared by the family. “Nicole gave everything she had to the people she loved. Even during her illness, she continued to show up — for our children, our church, our friends. She never let go of her light.”
A Heart for Service
Outside of her home, Nicole was a vibrant presence in the community. She was active in her local church, often volunteering for outreach events, women’s ministry gatherings, and children’s programs. She also supported various causes related to cancer awareness and patient advocacy, using her voice to offer hope and insight to others facing similar battles.
Her neighbors remember her as someone who never turned away from someone in need — whether offering a meal, helping with a fundraiser, or simply providing a shoulder to cry on.
“She was one of the most selfless people I’ve ever known,” said longtime friend and neighbor, Dana Miles. “Nicole always put others before herself, even when she was going through the hardest chapter of her own life.”
A Battle Fought With Dignity
Nicole was first diagnosed with cancer in 2023, a diagnosis that shook her family but never broke her spirit. Throughout her treatments, hospital visits, and difficult days, she remained resilient. She openly shared her journey on social media, offering updates and reflections that became a source of strength for others.
In one of her last public messages, Nicole wrote: “Cancer may touch my body, but it will never take my faith, my hope, or my love. I will fight with all I have, and I will never stop trusting God’s plan.”
Those words now serve as a powerful reminder of the courage with which she lived her life.
