Two Killed, Two Injured in Devastating Multi-Vehicle Crash on U.S. Highway 80 in Webster Parish
WEBSTER PARISH, LA — A tragic three-vehicle crash late Friday night has left the Webster Parish community in mourning after two men were killed and two others injured on U.S. Highway 80 near Barbeque Road. Louisiana State Police Troop G responded to the scene at approximately 10:40 p.m. on August 1, 2025.
The victims have been identified as 50-year-old Brian Frost and 45-year-old Kendrick Fisher, both of Haughton, Louisiana. According to the Louisiana State Police, both men were properly restrained at the time of the crash but sadly succumbed to their injuries at the scene.
Preliminary Investigation Reveals Wrong-Way Collision
Initial reports indicate that Brian Frost, driving a 2017 GMC Yukon, was traveling westbound in the eastbound lane of U.S. Highway 80 for reasons still under investigation. Simultaneously, Kendrick Fisher, driving a 2024 Kia Forte, and another motorist operating a 2016 Dodge Charger, were traveling east on the same highway.
The Yukon reportedly struck Fisher’s Kia in a head-on collision, causing both vehicles to sustain catastrophic damage. After the impact, the Kia collided with the Dodge Charger. The force of the crash caused the Yukon to overturn.
Frost and Fisher, both wearing seatbelts, were pronounced dead at the scene by the Webster Parish Coroner’s Office.
Other Victims and Suspected Impairment
A passenger in the Kia Forte sustained severe injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital. Their current condition has not been released. The driver of the Dodge Charger, who was also wearing a seatbelt, suffered minor injuries and was taken to the hospital for evaluation.
According to investigators, impairment on the part of Brian Frost is suspected. As is standard procedure, toxicology samples were obtained and sent for analysis. The investigation remains ongoing as officials work to determine what led to Frost driving in the wrong direction.
State Police Remind Public of the Dangers of Impairment
In a statement following the crash, Louisiana State Police emphasized the critical role that alcohol and drug impairment continue to play in fatal crashes across the state.
“Nearly half of all fatal crashes in Louisiana involve some form of impairment,” Troop G stated. “Substances severely diminish awareness, reaction time, and judgment behind the wheel. It’s essential that drivers make responsible decisions. Never drive impaired, fatigued, or distracted.”
Authorities also reiterated the importance of seatbelt usage, noting that although not all crashes are survivable, restraint systems significantly increase the chances of survival.
Community in Mourning
The deaths of Brian Frost and Kendrick Fisher have sent shockwaves through the Haughton and Webster Parish communities. Friends and family describe both men as hardworking, kind-hearted individuals with deep ties to the local area.
Counseling and grief resources are being made available to those affected, as both victims leave behind devastated loved ones.
Troopers urge anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has additional information about Frost’s driving prior to the collision to contact Louisiana State Police Troop G as the investigation continues.
