Rice announced that Kyle N. Bounds, age 45, of Hudson, Illinois, was the victim in the incident that occurred on August 2, 2025.

According to the coroner’s report, Bounds was pronounced dead at the scene at approximately 8:04 p.m. Preliminary findings indicate that the cause of death was drowning.
