Atlanta, GA — Following the recent shooting near the Emory University campus and the CDC headquarters, online rumors falsely linked Silas Kruger, son of well-known contractor @krugerconstruction, to the incident. Kruger’s family, who lives with him in Canada, has strongly denied these claims and condemned the ongoing harassment.

“We have people harassing my son (Silas Kruger) online, but we live in Canada,” said a family spokesperson. “These false accusations are causing him serious distress.”

The Atlanta Police Department and authorities have confirmed that Silas Kruger is not the shooter. The actual suspect involved in the shooting has not been publicly identified but is known to have died at the scene.

The three central figures connected to the incident are:

  • Silas Kruger — mistakenly linked but confirmed innocent and residing in Canada.
  • David Rose — a 33-year-old DeKalb County police officer who was fatally wounded in the shootout.
  • The Unidentified Shooter — the person who opened fire near the CDC and Emory University and died at the scene.

Authorities continue investigating the case, gathering evidence and interviewing witnesses to fully understand the motive and circumstances behind the attack. Meanwhile, they urge the public to avoid spreading unverified information that can cause harm to innocent individuals.
