PEACHTREE CITY, GA — The Peachtree City community is in mourning following the peaceful passing of Chad Christopher Teat, 45, on August 13, 2025. Known for his vibrant personality, compassionate nature, and unwavering love for family and friends, Chad’s death has touched many across Fayette County and beyond.
Beloved Son, Brother, and Friend
Born on March 17, 1980, Chad was a lifelong Georgia resident whose life was deeply rooted in faith, family, and friendship. He is survived by his devoted parents, Ron and Marilyn Teat, siblings Dana Kaplan (Roy), Darren Teat, and Meredith Mazzillo (Drew), and his adored nieces and nephews — Ansley Teat, Aubrey Mazzillo, and Austin Mazzillo.
Chad’s extended family, including grandparents, uncles, aunts, and cousins, remember him as a constant source of love and encouragement.

Family and friends will gather to honor Chad’s life on Sunday, August 17, 2025, at Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home in Peachtree City.

- Memorial Service: 4:00 PM immediately following visitation
