CAMBRIDGE, Ohio — The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal construction zone accident that claimed the life of 58-year-old Troy D. Haley of Duncan Falls late Friday night in Cambridge Township.

According to officials, the incident occurred at approximately 10:13 p.m. on the Interstate 77 northbound to Interstate 70 eastbound ramp, an area currently under active roadwork.

Details of the Accident

Investigators say Haley, a construction worker, was operating heavy equipment within the designated work zone when the accident occurred. Emergency responders were dispatched immediately after reports of a workplace injury, but despite lifesaving efforts at the scene, Haley was pronounced dead.
