TURNER, Maine — A devastating head-on collision in Turner on Tuesday morning claimed the life of 28-year-old Jacqueline Langevin of Auburn, leaving the community in shock and prompting a thorough investigation by authorities.
At approximately 9:56 a.m. on September 9, 2025, the Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Office, along with Turner Fire & Rescue, responded to Auburn Road (Route 4) near SR1 Recreation following reports of a serious crash with entrapment and injuries.
Upon arrival, first responders discovered two vehicles had collided head-on. Tragically, Langevin, who was driving a 2005 Volvo station wagon, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Preliminary findings suggest that Langevin’s vehicle crossed the centerline into oncoming traffic and struck a FedEx delivery truck head-on. The FedEx vehicle was operated by 37-year-old Cory Parent of Auburn, who sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Parent was transported to Central Maine Medical Center (CMMC) for medical evaluation and treatment.
The collision caused significant damage to both vehicles and required extensive emergency response efforts. Turner Fire & Rescue assisted with scene management, while law enforcement secured the area for investigation. Auburn Road was closed to traffic for roughly 4 ½ hours, causing delays for motorists as crews worked to clear the roadway.
The Maine State Police Commercial Enforcement Unit is assisting the Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Office in the ongoing investigation. Authorities are working to determine the exact cause of the crash, including whether speed, distraction, or other factors played a role.
No further information has been released at this time. Officials emphasize that the case remains open and active, with updates expected as the investigation progresses.
