PORT HURON, Mich. — Residents in a typically quiet neighborhood were startled awake early Thursday morning when a large police and emergency response rushed to the scene of a shooting at Glenview Court, near the north end Kroger and Daybreak Café.
The incident, which occurred shortly before 6:30 a.m., involved four teenagers, all of whom were injured and transported to local hospitals for emergency care.

Witnesses reported seeing at least 20 police units, multiple ambulances, and fire trucks converging on the apartment complex. The scene remained active for several hours as officers secured the area and medical personnel treated the wounded.
According to preliminary reports, two of the injured teens were transported to McLaren Port Huron Hospital, while the other two were taken to Lake Huron Medical Center. Their conditions have not been officially released, though early accounts suggest the injuries are serious.
Investigation Underway
Police have not yet provided details on what led to the shooting, whether a suspect is in custody, or if the attack was targeted. Detectives were seen canvassing the area, interviewing residents, and collecting evidence around the complex as the investigation continued into the late morning.
Authorities are urging anyone with information about the shooting to come forward, stressing the importance of community cooperation in helping to identify those responsible.
Residents in Shock
Neighbors described the scene as chaotic and frightening, with flashing lights and sirens breaking the early morning calm.
One nearby resident said, “I looked outside and saw ambulance after ambulance rushing in. It was scary to think it was happening right here, and to know kids were involved makes it even worse.”
Community Concerns
The involvement of teenagers has heightened community concern about youth violence in Port Huron. Local leaders and residents alike are calling for more preventive measures and support systems for young people to steer them away from dangerous situations.
Ongoing Updates Expected
The Port Huron Police Department is expected to release further updates once more information is confirmed regarding the victims’ conditions and the circumstances of the shooting.
For now, four families are facing an unthinkable ordeal, and a community is once again left grappling with the consequences of gun violence.
