SALT LAKE CITY, Utah — A devastating crash on southbound Interstate 15 in Salt Lake City claimed the life of 24-year-old Bradley Thomas Beaver of Twin Falls, Idaho, on Friday evening, authorities confirmed.
According to the Utah Highway Patrol, Bradley’s vehicle struck debris on the roadway, causing the accident that led to his untimely death. The crash remains under investigation as officials work to determine the full sequence of events.
A Bright Life Cut Short
Family members and loved ones describe Bradley as a young man who radiated kindness, joy, and determination. His aunt shared an emotional memory of holding him as a newborn, calling him the first baby she ever held and remembering the sense of wonder she felt.
“Bradley was pure light,” she said. “He had a heart of gold. And, man, did he live.”
Bradley’s life, though tragically short, was marked by achievement, adventure, and faith.
Scholar, Athlete, and Adventurer
Bradley excelled both academically and athletically. A dedicated runner, he earned scholarships to compete in track and cross-country in both Oregon and Virginia. His passion for running continued throughout his life, with participation in marathons, triathlons, and long-distance cycling on open roads.
Beyond athletics, Bradley pursued higher education with determination. He was in his second year at BYU–Idaho and expected to graduate with a Bachelor’s degree this year. Just weeks before the crash, he returned from a trip to New York, embracing life’s opportunities with the same energy he put into everything he loved.

Faith was central to Bradley’s identity. He proudly served a mission in Louisiana for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where he dedicated himself to uplifting others and spreading hope. Friends and family say his deep spirituality influenced the way he treated everyone around him—with compassion, humility, and genuine love.
Devotion to Family
For Bradley, family was everything. He cherished his parents, his brother, and his extended family, always ready to lend support or encouragement. His loved ones remember him as someone who would do anything for the people he cared about.
