At just 36 years old, Richelle’s vibrant spirit, love for family, and compassionate heart leave behind a legacy that will never be forgotten.
Early Life and Education
Richelle was born on June 15, 1989, in Browning, Montana, to Richard Jackson and Fay Gray Jackson. She grew up surrounded by the beauty of East Glacier Park, where she developed a deep appreciation for nature and the connections of family and community. Richelle attended Browning High School and proudly graduated as part of the Class of 2007. Her education was something she held dear, not only for herself but also as an example she hoped to instill in her children and loved ones.
A Life Filled with Love
Richelle shared her life with her lifelong partner, Lance “Odie” RunningCrane, with whom she built a family rooted in love, loyalty, and resilience. Their journey together was one of devotion, marked by the joys of raising their children and the deep bond they carried through life’s many challenges. Richelle’s role as a mother was central to her life, and she poured her heart into her daughter, Layla Fay RunningCrane. She also carried the memory of her late son, Laydence RunningCrane, close to her heart every day.
Work and Passions
Richelle’s compassionate nature extended beyond her family to the work she pursued. She dedicated herself as a personal care attendant, always giving her time and energy to help others in need. Additionally, she worked with AniMeals, an organization that aligned with her lifelong love for animals. Whether rescuing strays, advocating for animal care, or nurturing pets of her own, Richelle’s kindness to all living beings was a defining part of who she was.
Her interests reflected her colorful and expressive spirit. She took pride in her tattoos, each one telling a story of identity and resilience. Richelle also had a cherished collection of sugar skulls, a reflection of her appreciation for heritage, artistry, and symbolism of life’s cycle. These personal passions painted a picture of a woman who embraced individuality while honoring tradition.
Family Ties
Family was at the very core of Richelle’s world. Though she endured the heartbreak of losing her parents, Richard and Fay Jackson, along with her paternal and maternal grandparents, she remained deeply rooted in family values. The loss of her beloved son, Laydence, weighed heavily on her, yet Richelle carried her grief with strength and used it to love even more fiercely.
She leaves behind her daughter, Layla Fay RunningCrane; her devoted partner, Lance “Odie” RunningCrane; her brother, Cody Jackson; and her sisters, Roda BirdRattler and Ora RunningWolf. Together, they will carry forward her memory and ensure that her life’s love and laughter continue to echo through generations.
