Lake Ariel, PA (Wayne County) — A late-night shooting at The Hideout Property Owners Association community in Wayne County has left residents shaken, with multiple victims rushed to hospitals and one suspect already in custody.
Emergency Response to Chaos at 10 Lakeview Drive
Authorities said emergency calls came in just before midnight on Sunday, reporting multiple individuals struck by gunfire at a residence on 10 Lakeview Drive inside the gated Hideout community.
First responders arrived to find several victims suffering from gunshot wounds. At least three people were confirmed injured in the attack.
Two victims were transported from the scene to a designated landing zone, where medical helicopters airlifted them to trauma centers. Another victim, suffering multiple gunshot wounds, was rushed by ambulance to a nearby hospital.
The current conditions of the victims have not been released, but officials described the injuries as serious.
Suspect in Custody, Motive Unclear
The Wayne County District Attorney’s Office confirmed that at least one suspect is in custody, though they have not yet released a name. Authorities have not said whether they believe others were involved, leaving open questions about whether additional suspects may still be at large.
