CARBON COUNTY, Pa. — A devastating house fire late Tuesday night in Carbon County claimed the lives of five people, including four children, leaving the Franklin Township community in shock.
The fire broke out just before midnight at a double-block home on Willow Street near Lehighton. When emergency crews arrived, the first floor and the back of the second floor were already consumed by flames. Despite efforts to control the blaze, four children and one adult perished inside the home.
