Norristown, PA — It is with heavy hearts and profound sorrow that we share the passing of Joseph “Joey” Gallo, who departed this life on October 9, 2025, just two days shy of his 34th birthday, after a courageous two-year battle with stage IV pancreatic cancer.

Joey was a beloved son, brother, friend, and community member whose kindness, strength, and unwavering spirit touched the lives of many. His passing leaves a void not only in the hearts of his family and loved ones, but throughout the Norristown community where he lived, worked, and served with quiet dedication.

A Life of Faith, Family, and Commitment

Born on October 11, 1991, in Norristown, Pennsylvania, Joey was raised with strong values centered around faith, family, and service. He was a proud graduate of Kennedy-Kenrick Catholic High School, where he built lifelong friendships and began laying the foundation for the person he would become — loyal, generous, and steadfast.

Joey spent his life in Norristown, remaining deeply connected to the community that shaped him. He was known for his easy smile, calm presence, and the way he made others feel seen and heard.

Through his work at Gallo Brothers Developments Inc., a family business, Joey played a vital role in building not only structures but also relationships. He approached every project with pride and integrity, earning the respect of colleagues, clients, and community partners alike. Whether on a job site or behind the scenes, Joey was someone others could depend on — always willing to lend a hand or go the extra mile.

A Battle Fought with Courage

Joey’s diagnosis of stage IV pancreatic cancer came in 2023. Though the news was devastating, he faced the journey ahead with unmatched courage and grace. He continued to work, to laugh, and to love deeply — never allowing illness to define him.

Even during the most difficult days, Joey remained a source of strength and inspiration to those around him. He never complained. Instead, he focused on gratitude — for the people in his life, for the moments that mattered, and for the faith that sustained him.

His resilience became a quiet rallying cry for his family and friends, who walked beside him through every treatment, every hospital stay, and every small victory.

A Final Farewell

Family, friends, and members of the community will gather to celebrate Joey’s life at a Funeral Mass on Wednesday, October 15, at 12:00 PM at Holy Saviour Church, located at 407 E. Main Street, Norristown, PA.

🕯️ Visitation will be held from 8:45 AM to 11:45 AM prior to the service, offering an opportunity for loved ones to pay their respects and share memories.

All who knew Joey are welcome to attend and honor the legacy of a man who gave so much, asked for so little, and lived every day with quiet dignity.

Remembering Joey

Joey will be remembered most for the way he made people feel — valued, heard, and cared for. He had an uncanny ability to connect with others, whether you knew him for years or met him only once. His kindness wasn’t loud, but it was constant. His love wasn’t showy, but it was unwavering.

He leaves behind a loving family, many dear friends, and a community forever changed by his presence. Though his time here was far too short, the impact of his life will be felt for years to come.

In His Memory

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in Joey’s memory to The Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (www.pancan.org) or to a local cancer support organization of your choice.

May we honor Joey not just in our words, but in our actions — by showing up for one another, giving back to our communities, and living with the kind of quiet strength that he embodied every day.

Rest in peace, Joseph “Joey” Gallo. You were deeply loved, and you will never be forgotten.
