It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of James Joseph Feda Jr., age 71, of Irmo, South Carolina, who tragically died on Saturday, October 18, 2025. James, known to his family and friends as a kind and steadfast presence, was the beloved father of two sons, Joseph Charles and Justin Edward Feda, and the cherished brother of Taylor Catherine Feda, who preceded him in death. His legacy is also carried on by his parents, Jim and Michelin Feda, and his maternal grandmother, Carolyn Ellis. James was a proud alumnus of Dutch Fork High School, where he was known for his dedication and integrity.
A visitation will be held on Friday, October 24, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Dunbar Funeral Home – Dutch Fork Chapel, 7600 Woodrow St, Irmo, South Carolina 29063. A funeral service will take place on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Riverland Hills Baptist Church, 201 Lake Murray Boulevard, Irmo, South Carolina 29063.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Taylor Catherine Feda Memorial Fund, which supports local educational initiatives in Irmo. Condolences and memories may be shared online at Dignity Memorial.
James’s passing has left a profound impact on his community. The Richland County Coroner’s Office, in collaboration with local law enforcement, continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding his death. The family appreciates the support and privacy extended during this difficult time.
