According to the Simpsonville Police Department (SPD), officers were called to the Veechdale Apartments on Buck Creek Road around 12:40 a.m. on October 29, after receiving reports of possible gunfire. Upon arrival, they discovered Brenda inside her home with a severe injury. Despite efforts at the scene, she was pronounced deceased shortly after.
Authorities say investigators have conducted multiple interviews and gathered a significant amount of evidence, as they continue to piece together what led to the tragedy. In a public statement, SPD noted, “This is the first investigation of this type we have had in a significant amount of time.”
