THOMSON, Ga. — The community of Grovetown is mourning the heartbreaking loss of 21-year-old Ashton Brown, who tragically passed away following a motorcycle accident in Thomson, Georgia, on Friday afternoon.

According to the McDuffie County Coroner’s Office, the fatal crash occurred around 4:20 p.m. on Moose Club Road, near the 1500 block. Authorities say Brown’s motorcycle veered off the roadway and crashed. Despite prompt response from emergency personnel, he was sadly pronounced deceased at the scene at 4:45 p.m. by Coroner Paul Johnson.

The Georgia State Patrol continues to investigate the cause of the accident.

Ashton Brown was a proud resident of Grovetown, Georgia, and a graduate of Grovetown High School. Friends describe him as a bright, kind-hearted young man whose energy, laughter, and love for adventure left a lasting mark on everyone who knew him. Originally from Evans, Georgia, Ashton carried with him a strong sense of community and friendship that extended far beyond his hometown.
