APACHE JUNCTION, AZ — A heartbreaking rollover crash early Wednesday morning near State Route 88 and Hackamore Road resulted in the death of a juvenile boy and left a juvenile girl hospitalized, officials confirmed.

Apache Junction police were called to the scene just before 4:45 a.m. after reports of a serious crash. Upon arrival, first responders found the teenage boy, believed to be the driver, deceased at the scene. The boy’s identity has not yet been released.

His passenger, a teenage girl, was transported to a nearby hospital and is reported to be in stable condition.
