One Dead, Three Arrested Following Fatal Shooting in Marshall County

 

 

 

MARSHALL COUNTY, OK — June 29, 2025
A fatal shooting in Marshall County has left one person dead and three others in custody, sparking an active investigation by local authorities. The incident occurred late Saturday night near Buncombe Creek, officials confirmed.

Deputies from the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call reporting shots fired around 11:40 p.m. Upon arrival, officers discovered a deceased individual at the scene. The victim’s identity has not been released as family members are being notified.

Sheriff Donald Yow stated that three suspects were taken into custody shortly after the incident. The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation has been called in to assist with the ongoing investigation. Authorities have withheld further details pending the continuation of the inquiry.

“This is a tragic event for our community,” Sheriff Yow said. “We are committed to thoroughly investigating the circumstances that led to this shooting and ensuring justice is served.”

The incident marks the second fatal shooting reported in Marshall County within the last month. Earlier this June, the community was shaken by a murder-suicide in Cameron involving a father and son.

Local residents remain concerned about the recent violence as law enforcement urges anyone with information to come forward and assist in the investigation.
