Holdenville Police Seek Joshua Draper After Brutal Home Invasion and Stabbing

HOLDENVILLE, OK — The Holdenville Police Department is actively searching for Joshua Draper, who is wanted for questioning in connection with a violent home invasion and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon that occurred late Sunday night, August 3, 2025.

At approximately 10:20 p.m., emergency dispatchers received a distress call reporting a break-in at a private residence located in the 700 block of South Oak Street. According to preliminary reports, a male suspect forcibly kicked down the front door and gained entry to the home, where two individuals were inside at the time.

Once inside, the intruder reportedly launched a physical assault on both occupants. Authorities say the male victim was stabbed multiple times and sustained serious injuries. He was rushed to a nearby medical facility for emergency treatment. The female victim was also assaulted during the attack, though her injuries were described as less severe.

The suspect fled the scene on a motorcycle. Later that evening, investigators located a motorcycle believed to have been used in the suspect’s escape in the 800 block of East Main Street. The vehicle is now in police custody as part of the ongoing investigation.

Based on the evidence collected and witness accounts, police have identified the suspect as Joshua Draper. Authorities have classified Draper as armed and dangerous, and law enforcement officials are urging the public to exercise extreme caution.

“We are asking anyone who sees Joshua Draper or has information about his whereabouts to contact authorities immediately,” said a spokesperson for the Holdenville Police Department. “Do not attempt to approach or detain him, as he may be armed and unpredictable.”

The motive behind the attack has not been disclosed, and officials have not confirmed whether Draper had a prior relationship with the victims. Detectives are continuing to collect evidence and interview witnesses in what is now a high-priority case for the department.

Anyone with information is strongly encouraged to contact Hughes County Central Dispatch at (405) 379-6627 or dial 911 if Draper is spotted. Community members are urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity immediately.

This remains an active investigation. The Holdenville Police Department will release more information as it becomes available.
