In Loving Memory of Bryson Trentham: A Beloved Son, Electrician, and Fighter Remembered by His Community

OLIVER SPRINGS, TENNESSEE — The Oliver Springs community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of Bryson Trentham, a dedicated union electrician, loving son, and courageous young man who touched countless lives with his warmth, grit, and strength. Bryson, who lived and worked in the very town he called home, passed away after a hard-fought battle that united his entire community in love, prayer, and support.

At just a young age, Bryson had already accomplished so much. A proud graduate of Oliver Springs High School, he went on to study at the Tennessee College of Applied Technology in Harriman, where he refined the skills that would launch him into a successful career as a union electrician with IBEW Local 270. Known for his work ethic, bright smile, and big heart, Bryson was admired by coworkers, friends, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

A Fighter to the Very End

Bryson’s battle in recent weeks rallied not only his loved ones but also strangers near and far. He faced extraordinary medical challenges, receiving more than 180 units of blood in an effort to save his life. Each transfusion was a testament to his fight and the incredible outpouring of generosity from his community.

His family and friends shared countless updates filled with hope, tears, and deep gratitude for those who stood with them through it all. “We are so broken-hearted to share that Bryson has passed. He fought a hard fight, and we will miss him beyond words,” the family announced with profound sadness.

They added, “There are not enough words to thank each person who prayed, gave blood, or offered support during this time. The prayers have been felt.

Honoring His Legacy Through Action

In Bryson’s memory, the community is continuing a planned blood drive on August 12, which had originally been organized in response to his urgent need. While Bryson is no longer with us, his family is encouraging everyone to still participate in the drive—not only to honor him but to help others who may face similar battles in the future.

This act of giving, they believe, is one of the most meaningful ways to carry on his legacy and contribute to covering the immense medical costs associated with his care.

A Community Grieves

Bryson was the kind of person who brought light into every room. Friends remember him for his goofy humor, his loyalty, and the way he was always the first to lend a hand. Whether it was on a job site or at home with family, Bryson was someone people could count on.

His passing leaves a deep void, especially for those who watched him grow from a curious student to a skilled tradesman and an even better human being.

Final Thoughts

As Oliver Springs, Harriman, and the broader East Tennessee region mourn, one truth stands out: Bryson Trentham was deeply loved. His life, though far too short, made a lasting impact—and his memory will live on in every life he touched.

His family asks for continued prayers as they navigate the immense grief of this loss. “Please remember his family and us in your prayers,” they shared.

Funeral and memorial service information is expected to be announced in the coming days.
