DETROIT, Mich. — Authorities have confirmed the identity of the motorcyclist killed in a tragic crash near East 7 Mile Road and Van Dyke Avenue as Bernard Cook.

According to police, Cook’s motorcycle collided with a Dodge Durango shortly after midnight. Emergency responders rushed him to a nearby hospital, but despite immediate medical attention, he later died from his injuries.

The driver of the Durango remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators. No other injuries were reported.
