GEORGETOWN, Texas — Authorities are investigating a heartbreaking triple homicide after three people were found dead inside a Georgetown apartment on Saturday, September 13, 2025.
The victims have been identified as Alonzo Hawkins, 34; Doneisha Brooks, 39; and Olivia Brooks, 8, according to officials. Law enforcement officers responded to a welfare check at the apartment complex in north Georgetown, where they made the grim discovery.
Ongoing Investigation
Authorities have not released details on the cause of death or possible suspects but confirmed the case is being treated as a homicide investigation. The Georgetown Police Department, with assistance from the Texas Rangers and Williamson County Sheriff’s Office, is working to piece together the timeline leading up to the tragedy.
Investigators spent hours at the scene collecting evidence and interviewing neighbors. Residents reported shock and disbelief, with many describing the family as kind and loving.
Community Grieves
The deaths of Doneisha Brooks and her young daughter Olivia have left the community particularly shaken. Friends and neighbors described Doneisha as a caring mother and devoted friend, while Olivia was remembered as a bright, joyful child who loved school and spending time outdoors.
Local faith leaders and school counselors have already begun offering support services to residents and students impacted by the tragedy. A growing memorial of flowers, candles, and stuffed animals has formed outside the apartment complex as the community comes together to grieve.
Authorities Call for Public Assistance
Police are urging anyone with information about the case or who may have seen suspicious activity in the area to contact Georgetown Police Department immediately. Officials stressed that the investigation remains active and that all leads are being pursued.
A Family Torn Apart
As of now, funeral arrangements have not been announced. Loved ones of the victims are asking for privacy as they navigate this devastating loss.
“This is a tragedy that has shaken our entire community,” said one Georgetown official. “We will not stop until we bring answers and justice to this family.”
The investigation continues.
