WOODS COUNTY, Okla  — The Woods County community is reeling after the sudden and tragic loss of Aimee Chapman, a devoted church member, wife, and friend, who died in a farming accident involving cattle on her family’s property earlier this week.

Authorities confirmed the accident occurred on the Chapman family farm in rural Woods County, where Aimee had long been active in agricultural life and local church service. Despite immediate efforts, she did not survive the incident.

A Woman of Faith, Kindness, and Service

Chapman was widely admired in Alva and across Woods County for her selfless spirit and unwavering devotion to her faith. As an active member of First Baptist Church of Alva, she poured her heart into serving others and supporting her community.

“She had a heart of gold,” one friend said. “If you needed a prayer, a smile, or someone to simply sit with you during tough times, Aimee was that person. Her faith and kindness touched everyone she met.”

Her presence extended beyond church walls. Friends and neighbors recall her constant willingness to lend a helping hand, whether in farming, community events, or simply being there for someone in need.

The family has announced the following arrangements:

  • Visitation: Friday, September 26, 2025, from 6:00–7:00 p.m. at Marshall’s Funeral Home in Alva.
  • Funeral Service: Saturday, September 27, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Alva.

A Loss Felt Across Woods County

News of Chapman’s passing has sent shockwaves through the small, close-knit community. For many, her loss feels deeply personal. Local church members say they plan to dedicate time during upcoming services to remember her, while neighbors have expressed their grief and shared prayers on social media.

“This tragedy is not only heartbreaking for the Chapman family but for everyone who knew Aimee,” said one community member. “Her light was so bright, and it’s impossible to imagine our church and community without her.”

Carrying Her Legacy Forward

Though her life was cut short, those who knew Chapman say her impact will endure. She is remembered as a woman who lived with love, faith, and joy, inspiring others to do the same.

Community leaders and family friends are encouraging others to honor her memory by living with the same kindness she displayed each day.

As her pastor reflected: “We may never understand why tragedies like this happen, but we can choose to live as Aimee lived — with faith, love, and service to others. That will be her legacy.”

The Chapman family has requested privacy as they grieve but expressed gratitude for the outpouring of support and prayers during this difficult time.
