Wolf Point, MT — A quiet Sunday evening turned into chaos when gunfire erupted outside the Albertsons grocery store on Blaine Street, leaving one person dead, another injured, and an armed suspect still at large. Authorities have identified the shooter as 26-year-old Ethan Murphy, who is considered armed and extremely dangerous.

The Incident

At approximately 8:40 p.m. on Sunday, September 28, 2025, the Wolf Point Police Department received emergency calls reporting shots fired in the Albertsons parking lot at 415 Blaine Street.

Officer Bushman was among the first responders on scene, where two victims were located. One individual was pronounced dead at the scene, while a second was found suffering from a gunshot wound.

Officer Bushman provided immediate life-saving aid until EMS crews arrived. The wounded victim was quickly transported to Trinity Hospital in Wolf Point for urgent treatment.

Authorities have not yet released the identities of the victims, pending notification of family members.
