According to the Shreveport Police Department (SPD), officers were initially dispatched at 4:17 p.m. on November 2, 2025, to the intersection of Claiborne Avenue and Queens Highway, following a report of what was believed to be a traffic accident. Upon arrival, officers quickly realized the situation was far more serious — a shooting had occurred.
Inside the vehicle were a man, a woman, and a young child. Both adults had sustained gunshot wounds and were transported to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries. Despite emergency treatment, the female victim succumbed to her injuries at 8:57 p.m., according to SPD. The man remains hospitalized and is listed in serious condition.
