Marengo County, Alabama — The Gainesville community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of 53-year-old Lashandra S. Bell, who tragically lost her life in a devastating head-on collision early Friday morning, November 7, 2025.

According to Alabama State Troopers, the fatal crash occurred at approximately 7:15 a.m. on U.S. 43 near the 111-mile marker, about five miles south of Linden in Marengo County. Authorities confirmed that Bell was driving a 2017 Volkswagen Jetta when it collided head-on with another vehicle.
