First responders pronounced him dead shortly after arrival.
Infant Pulled from Wreckage, Mother Hospitalized
Inside the Honda Odyssey was Caitlin Hale, a local mother, and her 4-month-old baby, whose names have not been officially released for privacy reasons. Witnesses say the crash was so violent that emergency responders had to work quickly to remove both mother and child from the wrecked minivan.
The baby, though only four months old and not yet able to walk, sustained injuries in the crash and was transported alongside the mother to a nearby hospital. The extent of their injuries has not been publicly disclosed, but hospital sources say both are in stable condition as of Saturday.
