Urgent Search Underway for Missing Mother and Two Children from Lafayette, Authorities Investigating Disappearance After Domestic Incident Leads to Safety Concerns
LAFAYETTE, La — The Lafayette Police Department is urgently seeking the public’s help in locating a missing mother and her two young children after they disappeared from their home in the early hours of April 14, 2025. Authorities have issued an appeal to anyone with information on their whereabouts to come forward as the investigation continues.
The missing individuals have been identified as Faith Singleton, a mother, and her children, 2-year-old Kyrie Francis and 3-year-old Korel Francis. The family was last seen at their residence on Bridgeway Drive in Lafayette after what has been described as a domestic incident involving the mother and her partner.
At around 6:00 p.m. on April 14, 2025, Louisiana State Police launched a Level II Endangered/Missing Child Advisory after receiving reports that the children and their mother were missing and possibly at risk. Law enforcement sources indicated that the mother, Faith Singleton, may have been driving a 2015 brown Hyundai Sonata with the Louisiana license plate 532HGI, accompanied by her two children.
This development has deeply concerned the local community, and the Lafayette Police Department has been working in coordination with the Louisiana State Police to locate the family. Residents and local businesses in the area have been asked to be vigilant and report any sightings of the vehicle or the family to authorities immediately.
“We are working diligently to find Faith and her children as quickly as possible. The safety and well-being of our community are our top priorities,” said a spokesperson from the Lafayette Police Department. “We are asking anyone who may have seen something unusual or who has any information regarding their whereabouts to reach out.”
The Level II Endangered/Missing Child Advisory issued early on April 15, 2025, was later canceled after Kyrie and Korel were found safe earlier that morning. Despite this, Faith Singleton remains unaccounted for, and authorities are intensifying their efforts to locate her.
Local residents have expressed concern for the children’s safety, as they were last seen with their mother, who had been involved in an altercation shortly before the disappearance. While details of the dispute remain unclear, the situation has escalated into a full-fledged missing persons investigation.
“We’re relieved to hear that the children are safe, but the situation remains concerning with Faith still missing,” said a local resident. “We just want her to come home safely.”
The Lafayette Police Department is urging anyone who may have seen Faith Singleton or has information about her possible whereabouts to immediately contact them at (337) 291-8600 or to dial 911.
As the investigation continues, authorities are committed to ensuring the safety of all involved and keeping the public informed. Updates will be provided as soon as more information becomes available.
