Suspect on the Run After Deadly Shooting at Forest Park Motorcycle Event: Two Dead, Three Injured
FOREST PARK, Ga. — Authorities are urgently searching for Justin Miles, 25, who is wanted in connection with a deadly shooting that shattered a motorcycle gathering Sunday evening in Forest Park, Georgia.
The tragic event unfolded around 5:00 p.m. on April 27, 2025, near 5246 Jones Road, close to Old Dixie Highway. According to Forest Park Police, a large group had gathered for a motorcycle meetup when an argument escalated into gunfire, leaving two people dead at the scene and three others hospitalized with gunshot wounds.
A Gathering Turns Violent
Witnesses described a sudden outbreak of violence at what was meant to be a peaceful event. Several attendees said they heard multiple gunshots, followed by people fleeing in panic, motorcycles scattering in all directions.
“There was no warning. One minute everyone was hanging out, the next minute people were diving for cover,” said Marcus Green, a bystander.
Emergency crews responded quickly, but despite life-saving efforts, two victims could not be saved. Their names have not yet been released, pending notification of their families. The three injured individuals remain under medical care; their current conditions have not been disclosed.
Search for Justin Miles
Following a preliminary investigation, police identified Justin Miles as the suspect responsible for the shootings. A warrant for his arrest has been issued, and law enforcement is warning that he should be considered armed and dangerous.
Forest Park Police Chief Nathaniel Clark called on the public to assist in locating Miles.
“We are asking anyone who has seen Justin Miles or knows where he might be to come forward immediately,” Chief Clark said during a late-night press briefing. “Our community’s safety is our top priority.”
Officials have not yet revealed the exact motive behind the shooting but confirmed it stemmed from a dispute that rapidly spiraled out of control.

The violent incident has sent shockwaves through Forest Park and neighboring communities. Motorcycle events are a beloved tradition in the area, often seen as opportunities for fellowship and celebration, not tragedy.
“This is heartbreaking. It’s a loss not just for the families, but for the whole community,” said Mayor Angelyne Butler in a statement. “We will stand with the families of the victims and continue to press for justice.”
Counseling services and support are being offered to those who witnessed the traumatic event.

Authorities are reviewing video footage, speaking with witnesses, and working with the Clayton County Sheriff’s Office, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI), and federal agencies to track down Miles.
