HARTFORD, Conn — A tragic single-vehicle crash late Tuesday night in Hartford has claimed the life of one woman and left three others hospitalized with life-threatening injuries. The Hartford Police Department confirmed that the crash occurred around 9:59 p.m. on June 3, 2025, in the rear parking lot of 90 Retreat Avenue.
According to authorities, the incident involved a white 2001 Acura driven by 41-year-old Luis Hernandez of Hartford. For reasons still under investigation, the car veered off course and violently crashed into an unoccupied passenger van parked in the lot. The impact caused catastrophic damage to the vehicle and critically injured all four occupants.
Emergency responders arrived swiftly on the scene and transported all victims to Hartford Hospital. Sadly, 38-year-old Christine Camacho, who was sitting in the front passenger seat, was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. Camacho’s sudden passing has left her family and community heartbroken, as she is remembered as a kind, compassionate, and loving woman with strong ties to the area.

- Luis Hernandez, the driver, who remains in critical condition.
